Markham Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley

markham napa valley sauvignon blanc

I recently tried the Markham Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2017. Costco has it now for a Best Buy wine price of $8.99. I always see the Markham S.B. at the Safeway for around $11 at the mix-or-match price. This is definitely a Best Buy wine at either store. How often can you find a Napa Valley wine hovering around the $10 mark? The grapes are mostly from two vineyards in the Oak Knoll AVA of the Napa Valley.

The interesting factor in the Markham Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2017 is how it was aged. 76% in neutral wood tanks and the rest in stainless steel. A small amount of Semillon is also added to the Sauvignon Blanc. The result is a very mellow and tropical white wine. The Markham SB is balanced and very delicious. We find tasty tropical notes and some stony characteristics. Markham sells this wine for $16 on their online wine shop. 88 Points.
