The Case for Chianti Classico Wines

It is the Sangiovese grape that primarily makes Chianti Classico wines. The wines tend to be medium-bodied, graced with acidity, red fruit, and dried herbs. Some consider Chianti wines to be the ultimate food-friendly wine. We love it with any tomato-based pizza or pasta dish. You can’t beat it.

The area of Chianti Classico wines is in central Tuscany, between the historic cities of Florence and Sienna. It is a beautiful area, bustling with rolling hills and small towns.

All of these wines are excellent and worthy of a try. Remember these wines are Sangiovese based and, thus, medium in style. There are no block buster wines with extracted flavors. They are gentle and pleasing to the palate.
