Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2014

Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Delicious and tropical!

Tropically Delicious – Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2014 – Costco $14.99

The Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2014 is available at some Costco stores including the Redwood City Store. This is a lovely and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with tropical notes. I love the apricot on the nose. The mouthfeel is quite rounded and firm for an S.B., but it is still fresh and somewhat zesty. Do I detect a very slight effervescence? I think so. The aftertaste is lingering citrus character.  The Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2014 is a pleasant change of pace. The grapes were estate grown, organically farmed, and dry farmed. Kudos to the Long Meadow Ranch winery. I rate this wine at 89 points. It normally sells for $22 at the winery. The 2015 is out, so maybe this is an inventory squeeze that Costco has taken the advantage of. The Long Meadow Ranch tasting room is located in St. Helena. The winery has a wonderful restaurant, Farmstead, also in St. Helena. It is one of our favorite lunch restaurants in the Napa Valley.  The Long Meadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2014 will go perfectly with light appetizers and fish. Try this recipe, Fig and Goat Cheese Pizza.  Do you need to know more about Sauvignon Blanc wines?
