Locations F and E for $12.99

David Phinney's Location E and F

David Phinney’s Location E and F at Cost Plus World Market for a case sale of $12.99

David Phinney Locations Wines E and F for $12.99

The Vintage Wine Tasters recently participated in a video conference with David Phinney and tasted several of his Locations wines. We have also reviewed several of the Location Wines in the past. Last weekend, I stopped in at the Cost Plus World Market located in the Bridgepoint Shopping Center. In California, World Market’s wine department is currently having a wine case sale that will end on September 5. I spotted several excellent wine bargains, but none better than the two wines in the above photo. The case price, mix-or-match, is $12.99 a bottle for the E (Spain) and F (France) Locations wines. This is a fantastic price. Wine-Searcher.com indicates the average price for these two wines is $17 and $18 respectively.  The Locations wines are not vintage dated. That means that David Phinney uses his winemaking skills to make a perfect blend from the past and current vintages from various vineyards in each location.

David Phinney, the man behind the famous Prisoner Wine, is in the midst of finding and selecting the finest grapes at the best prices from around the world to produce his Locations wines. All the ones we have tasted have been absolutely delicious and priced at bargain levels. Please, David Phinney, keep up the great concept. Read more about David Phinney.

I can also recommend the following wines at the Cost Plus World Market case wine sale:

  • Gruet Brut Sparkling wine – sale is $11.99, elsewhere $15.99
  • Segura Viudas Brut Sparkling wine – sale is $6.99, elsewhere $9.99
  • 2015 Domaine De Tamray Rosé Provence – sale is $9.99, elsewhere $17
  • 2012 Chateau Petit Prelyon Cuvee Sarah Bordeaux Superieur  – sale is $7.99, normally $10.00

This is a case sale but you can mix-or-match. If you buy more than a case, the sale price is good for any extras you purchase.
